Serak Curriculum
Serak’s curriculum builds you from the ground up – from structure to flow, from drills to combat – until every strike, step, and movement becomes second nature.
Jurus – Forge internal strength. Train your body to deliver effortless power with perfect balance and control.
Sambuts – Partnered drills that transform principles into instinct, sharpening your ability to read and respond in combat.
Langkhas – The art of footwork. Develop rooted stability, explosive mobility, and unbreakable structure.
Sambutans – Flowing partner exchanges that sharpen your timing, speed, and reflexes under pressure.
Tendjekan – Lightning-fast combinations for maximum impact in the shortest space.
Weapons – Master staff, blade, and stick to multiply force, extend range, and strike with precision and speed.
Kembangen – The war dance. A free-flow expression of Serak’s principles – fluid, powerful, and unpredictable.
Serak Elbows
The martial art of Serak devides the body into three sections, where each section can work independently if need be, or as a complete unit.
The first section comprises the upper limbs from the head to the arms. The second is from the shoulders to the waist and the third from the waist to the feet. When one part of the structure is weak, trapped or incapacitated, the other dimension will compensate.
One of the unique features of Serak is the system of training platforms. Theses are designed to develop correct base, angle and leverage principles to enable the adoption of true power meridian lines.
Sequence for the platforms
Latihan Tiga
Langka Tiga
Pantjar 1-4
The first platform for the student is the Tiga (three or triangle). This facilitates the development of 360-degree techniques for facing opponents attacking from all sides. Footwork, posture and Jurus are all intrinsic to the Tiga.
The Pantjar is the more advanced three dimensional training platform for the development of constant fluid change and awareness. These training platforms are drawn on the floor and serve to guide the development of multidimensional movement skills based on dealing with singular and multiple-opponent attacks.
